What we publish

Four kinds of page: step-by-step tutorials, technique explainers, reference charts, and gear guides. Each one is built around a single question a knitter actually types into a search box.

How product recommendations are made

From published specifications and from material properties that hold across a category. Size range, tip material, cable construction, join type, available lengths, price band. Those are checkable, and every recommendation is reasoned out loud from them.

We have not tested these products, and you will never find a sentence here implying we have. No "after months of use," no invented star ratings, no fabricated user quotes. If a spec isn't published, it isn't stated. If two options are functionally the same, the page says so instead of manufacturing a winner.

What we don't do

• Invent an author persona, a bio, or years of experience to make advice sound authoritative.
• Cite statistics or studies we can't link to.
• Quote precise prices as current — prices move, so we give bands.
• Let an affiliate relationship change a recommendation or its order.

How this site is funded

Display advertising, and affiliate commissions on some outbound product links. Buying through one of those links costs you nothing extra. Neither funding source has any input into what gets written or which product goes first.

Corrections

Knitting facts are checkable and we get things wrong sometimes. Pages carry an "updated" date, and when a chart or spec changes, the page changes with it rather than staying quietly stale.
